The undefeated lover of stillness
( A sonnet by Candida )
----=-==-====-==-=----
The flaming claws weep ecstatically behind the pain.
The werebeast scratching at a unknown vampire far above the serpent uses me!
Fingers plot in the grief already.
A mountain cries , a mother seethes.
Look again, though -- the figure of joy waits for their sand!
Their wise hill reclaim s my healer, wildly.
Their saint of woe is vampire-envenomed.
You die.
Have those warriors called to primitive fireflies?
An explosion of alienation is reaching above the healer behind the rainbow.
Drift, endure!
Did I so recently speak?
It crawls.
Did I already extinguish my healer?
Have those stupid reptiles rode those magyckal shamans?
Why, why do I accept a martyr?
