Linux Notes / Info Pages
- I've been using Arch Linux for awhile and have a little unofficial, personal Arch repo that I'm using for my own devious purposes. I can't imagine anyone else would care (these are largely just rebuilds of packages found on AUR), but here they are regardless.
- Burning a Wizard People, Dear Reader DVD in Linux, with the original movie audio as the primary audio track, and WPDR as the alternate, with menus.
- Qt Programming Notes, specifically with reference to PyQt, though it should be applicable to any binding.
- Acer Aspire 7 in Linux. This page is just some notes of things I had to do when installing Linux on an Aspire 7 laptop. Nothing too fancy, but perhaps it'll help other folks who run into the same things.
- Some info on burning CD-TEXT data in Linux.
- tsocks is a great bit of software. I've put some patches together to expand its functionality a bit.
- I've been using the same theme for the window manager "icewm" for practically 20 years now. Here it is!
- File ordering in tarballs can make a pretty big difference in compressed filesize.
- A bizarre problem with Exim and sssd which turned out to be due to a backup restore process gone awry. Just here so that Google can pick it up and potentially help someone else if they hit this corner case.
"Graveyard" Pages
I also have some pages which I think are probably no longer useful, but I'm keeping around on the offchance that they are. Mostly these are talking about software which has long since moved on.
Visit the graveyard pages here, if you want.
