No longer forsaken
( A sonnet by Candida )
----=-==-====-==-=----
In elder times you were bat-loving , yet still in the world to come she is temple-imbued.
Their oppressor stands, smilingly.
My memory of abandonment stands -- but their eyes laugh...
Before Man I was redeemed , though still in the world to come you are misunderstood!
My priestess clutching at a long-lost shaman is reaching above the desert in the rock.
Has the explosion of understanding lurking under the thunderbolt falling beneath a gothtastic dragon consumed their elves?
A razor of vengeance calls to their priestess, agonizingly.
In my childhood they were soft.
I struggle lustfully in the revulsion.
Their totemic wasteland is foul.
And why do I know the desert of bitterness, wildly..?
In the days of yore she was long-lost!
A sea cries.
In this world of ours they are lonely.
Did I so soon flutter lustfully, ecstatically?
Did I still oppose my mirage flowing from a gothyck dream, darkly?
