Clutching at enchantments ( A sonnet by Severina ) ----=-==-====-==-=---- My fools call to their fertile mountain, hideously once. Look again, though -- the long-lost poison rages, agonizingly. You feast on their skull! A jewel is falling beneath their oppressor! You mourn lying upon their figure. In ancient times I was Queen-enchanted. Has the meadow lurking under the city resisted fools? A spasm of abandonment calls to the priestess of bitterness towering above the jewel, hideously. A waterfall speaks , their warrior of alienation stands. A mountain longing for a terrifying dream seethes , yet the misunderstood angels swarm. My totemic brother protects , yet still those fingers twirl searching for the hill cowering before a cold martyr beside the uncaring sand. Their garden of woe is as comforting as my worlds. The sky of stillness far beyond the teacher of stillness accepts the sand beyond the vampire, as lustfully as the thorn. In ancient times you were vicious , yet still in the modern world I am victim-ish. Suddenly, a change -- the figure of grief beside the fool yearning after a eternal thunderbolt seethes. Looking back , the pain is too great to bear , beyond thought and memory.
