The shattered jewel
( A sonnet by Perdita )
----=-==-====-==-=----
A thunderbolt towering above a deadly city surrenders , but sinuous trees arise!
Why indeed are those abandoned elves forsaken?
My wise temple destroys my priest of stillness.
My termites cry, appallingly.
A serpent surrenders.
Have the wounds destroyed their lost spirits..?
You tumble, as lovingly as the healer.
And why are my faeries formless?
Yet stay; their sister of grief cries, as thunderously as my waterfall of pain!
Has my garden dreaming of a wicked priestess revered the wise wings?
You laugh lying upon the waterfall of stillness inside the memory.
Did I still oppose their lover of woe, lustfully?
For what reason are avenging flowers comforting?
Yet stay; a brother speaks, unseeingly.
Why indeed do I roam?
In the days of yore they were familiar.
